In the mid 90’s the Swedish nuclear power companies united and formed SQC Kvalificeringscentrum AB, now called Swedish Qualification Centre AB (SQC)
Our initial assignment was qualification of NDT inspection systems for mechanical constructions in nuclear power plant in accordance with the new regulatory established by Statens Kärnkraftsinpektion (SKI) now Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSM).
Since Sweden was one of the first countries worldwide to place formal demands for realistic qualifications in accordance with the ENIQ method, SQC has become world leader in the field of qualification. The development has demanded large resources, but has resulted in a very effective handling of inspection results.
Our business has later expanded to include methodology development, consultant and advisory services both within Sweden and internationally. We have for example had consultant assignments in USA, China, South Africa and Switzerland.
